क्या होता है LAN , MAN और WAN ?

 दोस्तों आज हम जानेंगे की LAN, MAN और WAN क्या  है।  इनका काम क्या होता है , पर उससे पहले हमें जानना होगा की Network क्या होता है , तो आईये जानते है। 

Network क्या होता है ?

अगर कोई  एक Computer किसी  दूसरे Computer से Connect होता है तो इन दोनों के बिच के Communication  को ही Network कहते है।  और उस Network चलाने के लिए Medium की जरुरत होगी ही।तो उसी Medium के तौर पे काम करते है LAN , MAN और WAN तो आईये जानते है कैसे काम करते है। 

What  is LAN ?

A  Local Area Network is privately owned computer network covering a small Networks Geographical area. Like a home office or groups of Buildings and School Network . A LAN is used to connect the computer and other network devices so that the devices can communicate with each other to share the resources . The resources to be shared can be a hardware device like printer , software like a application program on data . The size of LAN is usually small. the various devices in LAN are connected to Central Devices called Hub of Switch using a cable.

 1) It connect computers in a single building block or campus they work in a restricted geographical area.

2) LAN are Private Network .

3) The Networking is done through Buses of Rings.

What is MAN ?

A Metropolitan Area Network is one of a number of type of computer . A MAN is a new class of Network . MAN is larger than LAN and as it name implies cover the area of single city MAN rarely extend beyond 100 km ..

1) It Generally covers towns and cities (50 km)

2) it is Developed by in 1980

3) Communication medium used for MAN are optical Fibers , cables etc.

4) Data rates adequate for Distributed computing application .

What is WAN ? 

A Wide Area Network is a telecommunication network . A wide area network is simply a LAN of LANs of Network of Networks .WANs connect LANs that may be opposite sides of a building. across the country or around the world. WANs are characterized by the slowest data communication rates and the largest distance. WANs can be of two types; an enterprise WAN and Global WAN.

1) if generally covers large distance ( state, countries, continent )

2) Communication medium used are satellite , public telephone network which are connected by routers.

3) Routers forward packets from one to another , a router from the sender to the receiver .
